St John’s History Archive
This month we would like to focus on building up an archive of old photos and items from the history of St John's.
If you have any items you'd like to share, bring them along and we will scan them in to add to our records!

World Vision Profile
Over the new year we received an update on Muskan, our World Vision sponsor child from India.
For a New Year’s gift, she gave us a coloured-in lantern, which is on example of the lanterns used for Diwali, an Indian festival around November, focussing on Light.  The festival also brings families together to seek the blessing of Go for a prosperous and blessed year.
Muskan is now 11 years old, studying Grade 7 at secondary school, and is in good health according to World Vision community workers who often visit her.  Last year she attended two World Vision programs in the North West Delhi region, with funding assisted by us.  These were:
Child Protection Awareness – where she learned how to protect herself and how to recognise unacceptable behaviour towards children; and
Value based education – to help her made good decisions in her life.
The focus on this community is good health, and education, and empowerment of girls in the region.
To see the lantern she made for us, and see more about the World Vision programs in the North West Delhi region, you can view this information in the porch. We shortly be providing an update on Tim, our Cambodian sponsor child who sent us a message before Christmas.
