COVID and Community
Here at St John's our building may be closed due to COVID restrictions, but we are still definitely open. Here are some of the things we're up to.
St John's Kerb Garden
On the Spring Street side of the church, you will notice that our kerb garden is taking shape. We are expanding beyond herbs now, and have planted lettuce, radish, a small lemon tree, pumpkins, peas and carrots. These are available for you to share and take. We also have setup a Potting Club, which meets every Friday at 10 to plant seeds, learn about growing and chat. |

St John's Bells
Every day at 8am, 12pm and 5pm (and also at 9.30am on Sundays) the bells of St John's ring. This is part of Father Peter's daily prayer ritual, and we hope serves as a reminder for the Community that we are thinking of them. |

Helping the Community
As well as our regular Anglicare collections, we are involved with the fantastic Peninsula Caring group, helping out where we can to support our community. We have also started up a Freezer Bank, where surplus meals provided by the community are stored in our freezer, available to anyone who would like a meal. If you know someone who would benefit from a meal please let us know! |

Keeping connection
As you may know, St John's has always had a strong connection with the community, through our many events throughout the calendar year, including our ANZAC Day walk, Market Days and Fetes. We will be still keeping as many of these events going, albeit in a slightly different way. These will be advertised here and on our Facebook and Instagram sites as they come to be available. |
