Anglicare COVID-19 Collection

From today (Easter Monday, 13 April), our trusty washing basket will be out collecting items for Anglicare. Anglicare community pantries and food supplies are located all over Sydney to help those in need. At this current time the demand is greater than ever. Many families in need visit their local church or Anglicare shop seeking assistance for basics, our supplies are dwindling. We fully appreciate and understand the challenges in front of us, but we would be grateful for any donation as part of your weekly shop, to donate to our basket. These donations will be collected by our Anglicare team for warehouse distribution.
Due to the COVID-19 crisis we have already seen a dramatic escalation in the number of people out of work and over the past week we have seen a doubling in the number of people seeking to access our Food and Financial assistance services. A reduction in the food coming into the warehouse through other sources has left us more dependent on food collected from churches and community. |
