    Christian meditation
    6.00pm Thursdays
    Join us in the church for our weekly experience of praying together the “Prayer of the Heart”. We are part of the growing community of people around the world who are seeking spiritual depth and fullness of being through daily prayer.

    Men’s Group
    7.30am on the first Wednesday of the month.
    Join us for fellowship and sharing over breakfast at a local café.

    Women’s Discussion Group
    10am to 12 noon every second Thursday.
    We meet in each others’ houses and enjoy chatting over morning tea before discussing the text we are studying. We all value the loving and supportive friendships we are developing.

    Guild Lunches

    Guild lunches will take place at 12 Noon on the first Wednesday in March, May, July, September, November and December.
    Come and enjoy a light lunch, an interesting speaker and a chance to get to know each other.

    ABM Lunch
    The ABM lunch will be held at noon on the first Wednesday in July.

    Christmas Lunch
    The St John's Christmas lunch will take place this year on the first Wednesday in December also at noon.  Parishioners from other churches in the Balmain and Rozelle areas are most welcome.

    Children at St. John's
    Children of all ages are most welcome at St John’s and we have a special corner in the church for them during our services. We also teach Scripture at Birchgrove Public School.  Sunday School meets every 1st and 3rd Sundays at 9:30 am.

    Courses in Spirituality and Teaching
    Various courses are run throughout the year: Lenten, Advent studies and Bible studies and other topics of interest. 

    Social activities  
    From time to time we have activities aimed at building community within our parish and as outreach to the wider community.  For more details watch this website.
